Gangtok:In a bizarre incident a tourist from Howrah Saikat Samanta, 27, today died in the Jungle of Patharey, West Sikkim allegedly because of breathing problem while he was trekking along with his nine friends.
But what gave a twist to the case of apparent natural death was the death of the guide of the tourist team, Mingma Norbu Sherpa, 45, whose body was found hanging at the forest where Samnta's body was found. The case was registered at Sombaria Police station. .
Norbu and Saikat were members of the trekking team that started its journey from Utterey, West Sikkim on December 22. and was to be concluded at Ribdi on 26 December. (EOIC)
